A lovely pile of zines by POC from the 1990s

Tonight we’re giving a donation of 60+ zines by people of color to Jenna Freedman, for the Barnard Zine Library!

Jenna has been a longtime POCZP ally and we appreciate all her support.

This donation was made possible by a collaboration between POCZP founder Daniela Capistrano and Mimi Thi Nguyen, with additional support from Mimi’s very helpful grad students who handled scanning, copying and assembling <3

This donation of Riot Grrrl-era zines by POC is a component of our advocacy tied to the Legacy Zine Series. We want as many people as possible to have access to independent publications by people of color.

We’ll announce more aspects of the Legacy Series initiative in the coming months. Stay tuned for the first Legacy Series feature in early January, right here on our Tumblr!
