Dope Barber Khane Kutzwell is a queer barber in Brooklyn, New York providing a safe space for LGBT clients to get their hair cut. “Women who want butch haircuts often face resistance from barbers in traditional shops…while gay men can be subject to ridicule.”

Not only does Khane do fresh cuts - but also fresh designs that even rival Yeezy’s. Kutzwell says that people get hair designs which are meaningful to them, somewhat in the same spirit in which many people get tattoos.  “The non-permanence factor makes people feel safe, and  designs grow out in about a week.”
